TDS (total dissolved solids)

It means total dissolved solids is the measure of dissolved minerals, salts, metals and impurities in the water, as TDS also includes the naturally occurring minerals in water like calcium, phosphorus, potassium, one thing which is clear is that lower the TDS the better the water, is not true as most people think.

According to Bureau of India standard TDS up to 500 is safe for human consumption.
